Ellie Keel
Ellie is an Olivier Award-nominated theatre producer, the youngest ever winner of The Stage’s Producer of the Year Award, and the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Four (HarperCollins).She is the Founder Director of the Women’s Prize for Playwriting, the leading award for female and non-binary playwrights in the UK and Ireland.
With her company EKP, she has as produced over 25 new plays to critical acclaim in London, at the Edinburgh Festivals, and on tour across the UK, at venues including the Royal Court Theatre, Barbican Centre, Southbank Centre and Chichester Festival Theatre, winning multiple awards including an Evening Standard Award, The Stage Award, and a Scotsman Fringe First.
She is the leader of the National Theatre’s How To Be A Producer course, and a frequent contributor to masterclasses and the media on theatre producing and wider cultural topics. She is a Trustee of the Brontë Society and London Youth Theatre.
David Doyle
Dubbed a “Creative Powerhouse” by the Evening Standard, David is an award-winning producer and lighting designer.
He has produced shows around the world from the back rooms of nightclubs to commercial productions on the West End. His work spanning theatre, audio, and opera have won awards including an Irish Times Theatre Award, Fringe Firsts, and netted dozens of Off-West End Award nominations.
As well as a successful career as an independent producer he has worked as part of the producing team at the Abbey Theatre, Ireland’s National Theatre. He is currently the Co-Artistic Director and Executive Producer of Jermyn Street Theatre, the West End’s Studio Theatre, the joint Artistic Director of Atticist, and the Producer of The AIDS Plays Project.
Katie Posner
Katie is an experienced and multi award-winning director. She joined Paines Plough as Joint Artistic Director with Charlotte Bennett in 2019. She has worked on productions both overseas and on national tours, including multiple shows with York Theatre Royal and Pilot Theatre with whom she was Associate Director from 2009 until 2017.
For Paines Plough, Katie has recently directed CONSUMED by Karis Kelly (Traverse Theatre/UK Tour); SHANGHAI DOLLS by Amy Ng (Kiln Theatre); Fringe First award-winning STRATEGIC LOVE PLAY by Miriam Battye (Minetta Lane Theatre, NYC/Soho Theatre/Roundabout); Winner of the Women’s Prize for Playwriting YOU BURY ME by Ahlam (Bristol Old Vic/Edinburgh Lyceum/Orange Tree Theatre); HUNGRY by Chris Bush (Soho Theatre/Roundabout); REALLY BIG AND REALLY LOUD by Phoebe Eclair-Powell and BLACK LOVE by Chinonyerem Odimba (Co-Director for Roundabout).
